BGB Slip Ring used in Hollywood Blockbuster - 'Inception'

In July 2009, BGB received an enquiry to produce a bespoke slip ring unit for Articulated Productions (part of Warner Bros) for their 2010 summer Blockbuster - "Inception".
Originally called "Olivers Arrow", Producers of the film decided on renaming it once production had finished to "Inception". The movie stars a host of Hollywood stars including; Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy, Ken Watanabe, and Tom Berenger, and is an original sci-fi action movie that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams.
BGB were asked to manufacture 2 bespoke slipring units. One for a scene where a hotel corridor revolves 360º and the other for a hotel room scene. The slip rings were large, 5 way, 400 amp power and 12 way signal control units. Richard Driver, Designer for the project for BGB said "It was a real eye opener going on set and seeing how big budget movies are made. The slip ring units performed very well and I'm looking forward to seeing the film, especially the scenes which the sliprings were used on."
