BGB TO EXHIBIT AT THE INTERNATIONAL HUSUM WIND EVENT: HUSUM (GERMANY) 9th - 13th SEPTEMBER 2008 - STAND 3B21.

BGB Engineering Ltd will be exhibiting at the Leading International Wind Trade Fair event in Husum 9th – 13th September 2008.  Held at the Messe Husum, our 24sq.m stand can be located in Hall 3, stand number 3B21 (same position as Husum 2007).

When the Messe HUSUMwind opens its doors on September 9th 2008, tens of thousands of visitors and exhibitors will come to the town on the North Sea located in the North of Germany – and for a few days their number will exceed that of the local population.

BGB were the first slip ring manufacturers to design a dedicated wind turbine slip ring for hub control systems.  The Company is now a leading supplier in the development of slip ring solutions for this growing industry.

BGB remain at the forefront of turbine technology and work closely with major wind turbine manufacturers such as Vestas (no1 in the Wind Turbine Market), Gamesa, Unison, Proven, Siemens, WinWind, Enercon, Suzlon, ABB, Hitachi, Mitsubishi and many more wind and non-wind International Companies. 

Products on view at the BGB stand will be:

• Hub control slip rings for both electrical and hydraulic pitch shift systems and Power supply systems (main shaft)
• Generator / frequency converter slip rings and brush holders (generator high speed shaft)
• Lightning defence brushes (main bearings and slewing rings) -
• Optilinc system (a fibre optic solution which is not influenced by vibration, humidity, heat, magnetism or other typical slip ring disturbances) which will revolutionise the wind turbine slip ring market.
