BGB COMMENDED AT EAST MIDLANDS INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AWARDS 2008

The East Midlands International Business Awards were held at the Leicester Marriott on 27th November 2008. Hosted by Suzi Perry (Presenter of Channel Five's - Gadget Show & face of BBC's MotoGP), the event rewarded excellence in the field of Exporting.

BGB were one of three finalist in the "Established Exporter - Worldwide Award", but narrowly missed out to Newark company, Benoy. BGB export over 90% of goods worldwide including markets as far a field as Canada, Chile, India, Japan, China and Korea.

The event highlights an environment of high commercial achievement and celebrates the success of all East Midlands based companies that are contributing to the regions economy through international trade. Applications for the awards were to a high standard and of these only a handful could be selected to reach the final. BGB were in outstanding company and shared the stage with other World-wide exporter finalist, Castlet Engineering.

David R Holt - BGB Marketing & IT Director said, "To be runners-up for the whole of the region is a great honour and a tribute to the success of BGB and its focus on exporting."
